Supporting the scientific community since 1946
The Passano Foundation recognizes members of the medical and scientific community who have made an outstanding research contribution. Based upon the ideals and vision of the late Edward Boetler Passano, the Foundation presents an award each year to a research physician who has made an exceptional contribution to the advancement of medical science. Prime consideration is given to work that has immediate clinical value or gives promise of practical application in the near future.
An annual award is also given to a young scientist or scientists to promote continuing research at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine & The University of Maryland School of Medicine. These nominations are provided by the respective Universities and selection is made by the foundation board.
*Nominations are invited throughout the year with selections being made in December. Please click below for more information.
